At City College Plymouth we offer a range of course which are suitable for international students.

  1. A full-time English language programme - with courses starting throughout the year at different levels to suit individual ability. Many students come to the College to study English first before progressing to another academic course.
  2. A one-year International Foundation Course (IFC) - an ideal way to reach the academic and English language levels required for entry to a university in the UK. Different subject-specific pathways are available which prepare students for progression to their chosen courses at university.
  3. A six-month International Foundation Course - an alternative to the one year IFC, students who won’t have their exam results in time for September can join us in January. Different subject-specific pathways are available on this course.
  4. A levels in 23 subjects - two years of full-time study - the traditional route to university in the UK for most British students.
  5. Two-year full-time Foundation Degrees - the UK vocational higher education qualification offered in partnership with Plymouth University. Successful completion of two years at the College entitles students to progress to the third and final year of an undergraduate degree at Plymouth University.
  6. A one-year Pre-Masters Course - to help students prepare for postgraduate study in the UK. Ideal for students who have an undergraduate degree equivalent, but who need to improve their English for academic study.
